I wanted to tidy things up a bit and make it clear that people can start posting their birthday greetings. The other thread is sort of meandering. I'll pull the messages out of that thread, and also this one. Please use this thread just for B-day messages for Kerry, though.

I wish you a very Happy Birthday Senator Kerry and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for our nation and for the citizens of the United States of America. But you didn't stop there did you? You have done so much for the citizens of this world and your work has not ended. I take this time to thank you for your sacrifices and your courage. I thank you for your kindness and your drive and your heart. I thank you for your intelligence and your nuances, oh heck, I just thank you for being you and for trying to make a difference.

I consider you my President and if you are ever given what you won and what is correct and just, you will be able to do so much for our nation and the world. And I thank you for wanting to make a difference.

to the only politician who's ever affected me emotionally. when i first found out your birthday was one day before mine, and that you looked up to John F. Kennedy - the only other politician to capture my emotional interest - i knew there was a connection.

not sure if you drink, but if you did and you lived around here, we'd go have a drink and talk about *(hehe) and celebrate our birthdays together.

Our wishes are now on their way to his Washington office.

I made up a cover sheet that used my sig picture as a watermark, with the words "Happy Birthday from your supporters at the Democratic Underground. We love you and we will always have your back."

I had about 7 pages of wishes, including our responses to Andrea's open letter at the end.

Hopefully he will get to see it.
