Something I've wondered

So we always get these posts about some horrible infraction by somebody's freeper co-worker or friend. No doubt we all have these kinds of stories. But when somebody starts a thread like that, do you ever wonder if it isn't just to keep the anger up? I mean, the Bushies need us hating the freepers just as much as they need the freepers hating us, right? Divide and conquer and all of that. Sometimes these posts just seem a bit too "stereotypical", you know what I mean?

Or is my tin foil way too tight?

1. yes, i understand

it's kind of like when someone posts something from the freeper site or some other right winger about how they said or did something we should be outraged or disgusted about.

but they are right wingers so of course they did that. why should they or we be surprised ? did they think these right wingers were decent understanding types before ?

there actually were a few that we found out were trolls during the election. their purpose was to try to get DU members to attack the kids in a photo they posted which was at a Bush rally. i remember one also posted a comment about how a kid with a bush button will end up killing himself. of course i alerted on them and i let the administrators know it's probably a troll trying to make DU look bad.

in other cases they are just regular DU members who just want to bash right wingers and freepers.

2. have you ever checked out the "Conservative Underground" website?

They give little awards (icons) to posters who infiltrate DU. They have different awards for different things - like "suicide missions" or 1,000 posts without getting tombstoned.

They are definitely into an organized (and site sponsored) campaign of disruption.

3. I think it's sad as hell

That these freepzoid losers have nothing better to do with their time than waste countless hours among people whose ideology they hate, just to play some stupid mind games. It's really pathetic and pitiful, and almost makes me feel sorry for them. Almost.
