March 5, 2006 -- Jon Stewart - the diminutive kid from New Jersey who changed his name from Jon Leibowitz because it sounded "too Hollywood" - will in fact be Mr. Hollywood tonight as he hosts the 78th annual Academy Awards.

Are these real quotes? Sometimes, I can be pretty gullible. I know JK is a fan of TDS, though.
What's shocking is the spare tire around Stewart's middle. Sheesh. Do some sit-ups, Jon.

The dry humor, and the way they start off sounding serious, then gently tease the focus of each joke. I really like the latter one. When he mentions Murrow - the thought that Stewart actually told more truth than the news imediately came to mind (as I think it will to many people) - but then having brought it up, he lets it go with a verbal smile. The point still being made - I think.

6. HAHAHHA, he is getting Jon the same way he does to Kerry

this shows that JK does not let the personal stuff get to him, especially when it's done in a comedic setting like the Daily Show.
