This group is getting WAY too wonky today!
Come on, throw me a bone, people! It's midterm week and I used up all my free braincells studying. Can we have a non-policy post, please? Say, a pic thread? Or a general discussion of the Senator's hunkiness? Hell, even a non-Kerry related fluff thread?

Pretty please?

1. I need a costume idea for my grandson
Every year we have a "Little Cutie Contest". Yeah, it's a money maker for the local photographer, but what the hey. Anyway, costume originality is as important as the kid's cuteness. We already have the cuteness part whooped (hehe), but not sure about the costume. We're picking up a little aviator costume Friday hopefully, but if that doesn't work out we want a backup plan.

Ideas??

(Unwonky enough??)

2. I think a little sailor would be cute
Especially if the kid likes water.

The little white hat and blue coat and everything.

12. yeah, that would be cute
My daughter's b-i-l is ex-navy too, so he might have some stuff that could be used for props too.

6. Is it something you'd have to make yourself?
I think ducks and chickens are particularly cute, especially mid-hatch.

11. Yes and no
Generally there needs to be props to go along with the costume. So there can be store bought stuff, but the ones that usually win are when the props go with the costume to make a perfect picture. Last year it was a little prince, with the staff and crown and whole thing. One year it was a fireman that had some of his dad's tools and stuff mixed into the picture. So we don't have to actually sew something, just need a pulled-together theme for a picture.

7. He could go as Kerry
Pick which Kerry he likes best and go as him. Young Vietnam war protestor or the presidential canidate Kerry.

17. In "Tour of Duty" there's a
pix along the riverside with Kerry and some locals. He's showing them a camera, and one of the locals is pressing his bicep. I laughed out loud when I saw it. D ; )

Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 03:38 PM by BlueIris
Me to my mother this morning over coffee: Supposedly, at least one governor from a western state may run next time. Not that I care, the next President will be Kerry.

Mom: Honey, what are you going to do if they don't run Kerry or he doesn't win?

Me: (annoyed stare...abrupt subject change)

I don't have a mother anymore! I declare myself an orphan. Nope, never had a mother. Gone. I'm on my own.

She's not conservative, but she is...challenged.

And my Dad, who is a registered Dem for who knows what reason but calls himself a Libertarian...uh, we have to avoid politics.

She loves Kerry too and once said that he should be the president (I have told her about the election fraud). :P She's such a Kerry fan too. I always love to show her pics of Kerry. Her favorite's are of him with little kids.
