10. Best behavior?
Damn, and I was gonna bring my husband. Sigh!

Ahm, we are always well-behaved paragons of virtue, propriety, manners and intelligence. Except for that one time and well, now really, who could blame us?

11. Well you guys are a bunch of
stuck-up New England elitists aren't you? Tea and scones and pinkies in the air.

Of course you know I jest (I'm not quite sure what gave y'all away.)

Who all is going to this shin-dig anyway? We need to know who to look for. I'm excited for you guys!

12. Ah...now that sounds like a story that needs telling.
You know my favorite Congressional candidate is also going to be there.

Oh, BTW...how are we going to arrange this, since I have one of your tickets? I'm not sure I still have your number. I'll e-mail you...so check your mail.

13. Did your tix come in the mail?
Cuz my husband didn't get one in the mail, but they cashed the check, so I'm assuming that we get them at the event at the door.

Ahm, We will phone each other and LevensonK and meet outside and stuff. It'll work, it always does.

Tea and scones and pinkies are for formal Boston gatherings. This event is taking place in the Frozen State of New Hampshire where the people are uncooth and grumpy and have cabin-fever after a long winter of shoveling slush. That is a very different situation, so I am assuming that we can go in flannel shirts and our best lumberjack hats.

(DD, you know I'm just kidding. I love New Hampshire. Really I do. It was just voted best state to live in by someone in some magazine. Again. Massachusetts never gets voted best place to live in. I'm not sure why. We need to work harder on this. Perhaps it has something to do with Mitt Romney. We can never be best anything with him as a Governor.)

14. I didn't get anything in the mail either. I just assumed that they were
taking names at the door. I'd better call. I bought the tickets through PayPal.

18. Democrats. Good. They will let us in if we are breathing then?
Every vote. I'm excited because Paul Hodes is going to be there too. He just might be able to unseat Charlie Bass. Hey, NH is going BLUE BABY! One official at a time. JK is all over NH lately. This must mean he wants to help keep us blue. And because it is the first in the nation primary... He's going to be in Northwood earlier in the day on Saturday.

19. Cool!
Ahm, where is Northwood? (Is it very near you?) I can't find anything in New Hampshire because the towns are too far apart.

I am very glad to hear that Bass has a good opponent. This is great. Now, if you folks would just get rid of Sununu, as he is a complete waste of space in the Senate. Honestly, as a Senator, he makes a good bench-warmer. Off the top of your head, has he done anything at all in his 4 years there? (Okay, he voted against cloture in Dec on the Patriot Act. This just proves he is breathing.)

21. Duh...I don't know why I said Northwood. He's going to be in
Newmarket. From Manchester that's a ways east.

We so needed Senator Shaheen, but all we got is that bump on a pickle Sununu. The only consolation is that we are still prosecuting Repugs over the phone jamming that helped Sunny boy into office. One thing about Democrats: it might take us time, but we get even (and then some).

MASSHOLE! LOL! As a former Lowell resident who was born in MA, I can say that.

I was actually planning to wear flannel and Timberland boots. Not a good idea? Nashua Country Club...isn't that where they hold all them barn dances?

Them New Hampshire people will make me go out and gather maple syrup or something.

Seriously, I know this is a big event. "Who are you wearing?" "Ahm, Sears, ahm, and it's by someone named 'Clearance.'"

20. You are going to laugh at this one.
Thinking it would be nice to wear blue (being a Democrat and all), I ordered a suit to wear for the occasion. It didn't occur to me until reading your post about C-Span and the blueberry comment that the name of the suite I ordered is: "Blueberry suit." I kind you not! On my receipt, it says "Blueberry suit!"

It seems to be lost in the mail though...maybe fate is saving me here. If the blueberry suit does not arrive, I'll have to wear something else. Hey, plaid and barn boots sounds good right about now. I can bring some straw to chew on to add to the effect. What a coincidence: Clearance is my designer of choice too.

23. Directions & more info:
I called for some information and played voice mail tag, but they e-mailed me saying they had updated the site with directions because they didn't realize the directions had been taken down. I'm still waiting to hear about what time to arrive. Sponsors get to go to the pre-event reception. How do you want to work that TayTay?

Tickets: No tickets. Just give your name at the door.

Directions here: http://www.hillsboroughdems.org/fundraiser_directions.htm

24. My husband was at this place for something or other
recently. So he should get us there with only a minumum of fuss. (Well, mostly.) I will be there at 5:20 or so. My husband doesn't have a ticket for the special reception cuz he didn't think of it. Maybe we can upgrade at the door. (He is double-guarnateed certain to see someone he knows. It always happens. I had someone last week come up to me and ask about my hubby. I couldn't remember their name and they avoided all my clever questions designed to get them to reveal their name. Sigh! I cam home and told my husband someone said to say hello, but I had no idea who it was. I am a chowdahead.)

LevensonK: Can't wait to see you and your wonderful hubby. You have my cell, right? We will be out of the reception pretty quickly and can meet you at the door at 6:00 or 6:15 or whenever you want. (I want to see you more than *just about* anyone at the dinner anyway.) We will meet up. After all, I got a haircut just for the occasion. (No Supercuts either, a real haircut. Ooooh.)

25. Sent you an e-mail but posting might be faster.
If you want me to e-mail or call to ask if your hubby can upgrade, I'll be happy to. They forgot to list me as a sponsor, so they kinda owe me one. Just let me know if you want me to. Or if he prefers to do his own negotiating at the door. :)

26. yep, got your cell
I wasn't thinking when I booked the tickets or I'd have gotten ones with private reception, too. Oh well. Getting there at 6 PM instead of 5.30 will give me more time to stress out about the event. lol
Can't wait to see you, the hubby, DD, and JK!
The directions seem easy enough, but I'm still glad hubby is driving. I can get lost in my own backyard with my sense of direction.

I hope Kerry is as fantastic as he sounded on the Ireland lecture. I realize that was a scholarly speech- but I loved the conversational tone when he was just speaking.
