An inquiring mind wants to know.....
No, I don't work for the National Enquirer or anything (LOL!), but I was wondering about Kerry's past health.

I didn't follow the campaign until July 2004, but what was the deal with Kerry's shoulder injury? I couldn't find anything at the Kerry library site, or DU's archives (except for one bashing thread). I heard that it happened on a bus, but that was about it.

Was it also true that he had some throat condition (polyps or something like that)? I had heard that somewhere when there was talk about the cancer treatment.

If the info was all RW talk from a freeper source, I promise to leave it in here.:patriot:

1. he had prostate Cancer
which he got through. that's well known.

his throat thing is i think the same thing Clinton had. nothing big.

the shoulder injury was probably due to all the activity he is involved in. it's not unusual.

the reason he is able to get through all of these things is because he is in very good health.

5. The shoulder thing
was a torn muscle or something like that, brought on by an old injury, I believe. He was on the campaign trail and I remember he was told not to shake hands for like 2 weeks. Nope, Kerry healed quickly and was shaking hands way before that 2 weeks was up. I remember a bunch of us on the Kerry blog, saying, Senator please don't use that arm yet, we were a bunch of mother hens. He is in great shape and heals very quickly.

8. I fret whenever I see him ride his bike without a helmut
Honestly, I know some people who like to ride motorcycles don't like to use the helmuts, but he really should wear one. Really. (Pet peeve.)

10. I thought I read he always uses one.
There's a helmet law in MA still isn't there - but not in NH. When he's putting around a parking lot like he did a couple of times during the campaign, it's pretty safe without one.

9. I read that it was caused when their SUV stopped short
causing a wrenched shoulder. And that it wouldn't have been a problem except for all the hand-shaking he'd have to do that year, so he got it fixed.
