John Kerry in NH Points Out What Kerry Got Right

John Kerry was in NH today speaking at speaking at fund-raisers for State Senators Martha Fuller Clark (D-Portsmouth) and Maggie Hassan (D-Exeter). Afterwards he met with reporters to answer questions that ranged from the decision by the DNC to change NH and Iowa’s first in the nation status, to questions about whether or not he would run in ‘08. During the session of questions from the reporters, John Kerry pointed out the some of the many things that he ran on in ‘04, that he got right - Listen Here.

Kerry was also the keynote speaker at a dinner sponsored by the Nashua and Hillsborough County Democrats, tonight. C-Span will have coverage of tonight’s dinner on tomorrow’s “Road to the White House.”

… Kerry won a standing ovation when he proclaimed, “I’ve always said this should be the first primary in the country,” without elaborating on whether caucuses other than Iowa should come first.

I'm glad Kerry is pointing out the things he was right about during the campaign because with Bush in the WH those things still haven't been addressed.

Kerry was right moment from the lying media:

MSNBC: This setback comes to the president on the one thing that was his big strength – national security. Does he have anything left?

Russert: That’s the one issue President Bush always had the advantage over the Democrats. In 2004, on a whole variety of issues, John Kerry’s position was held in more favor by the voter than George W. Bush’s. But President Bush had the trump card — national security.

The Democrats now believe that issue is in play and that’s why they’re feeling so emboldened when it comes to these midterm elections in 2006.

I guess Kerry's message did resonate with voters. Too bad the media spent most of the campaign and post-election analyses telling the public the exact opposite.
