Why DU is fighting over censure, the budget just passed 51-49

Not very surprisingly, at least a Democrat voted for it: Mary Landrieu.

(I can understand her predicament, but the budget seems to me a lot more problematic in the immediate than whoever is going to vote some day on censure).

It means that ANWR drilling was budgeted, but it was last year too (they dont have the 50 votes). However, they were able to stop it later.

I friggin think those frickin bastids have their heads firmly up their posteriors and need to beg, borrow or steal a life as quickly as possible. We had a vote today on real stuff and it got ignored in favor of strategy games.

Strategy is fine, but this could have been done next week, during recess. (Why do adults in Congress call their breaks 'recess' anyway? They are all too old for recess. Okay, Sen. Allen does need recess, but Stevens? Honestly.)
