Oh, good Lord, the chimp is in town.
Hasn't my poor city suffered enough this week?
First the pigeon terrorist and now this.
Can we please get a friggin break, here? Teresa, where are you, homey? We need some sanity here in the 'burgh.

Hehe. One bright spot. I can't figure out if santorum doesn't want to be seen with bush* or the other way around.

President Bush arrives this afternoon in Pittsburgh to raise money for U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, but the public is not likely to get a glimpse of the commander-in-chief.
Bush will be whisked from Pittsburgh International Airport across the Ohio River to the Sewickley Heights home of former Allegheny Technologies chairman Richard P. Simmons for a two-hour reception with 500 guests who paid $1,000 to attend. Photo opportunities with the president are available for $10,000, organizers said.

Bush and Santorum, a Penn Hills Republican, will not appear together in public.

Guess they're not as close as they once were.

1. Oh, I understand Rove is here too.
Now they will have to call out the clean up crews to fumigate after they both leave to get the stench under control.

3. DNC: Bush and Santorum: Who Is Avoiding Whom?

DNC: Bush and Santorum: Who Is Avoiding Whom?

Fri Mar 24, 11:53 AM ET

To: National Desk

Contact: Damien LaVera of DNC Press Office, 202-863-8148

WASHINGTON, March 24 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was released today by the Democratic National Committee:

Bush and Santorum: Who is Avoiding Whom?

Tonight, President Bush will be in Sewickley Heights, Pa., to raise campaign cash for scandal-plagued Republican Senator Rick Santorum. With the American people losing confidence in the Bush Administration's dangerously incompetent handling of the war in Iraq, the President's visit would seem an ideal opportunity for him to explain to voters in the Keystone State why he insists on maintaining a permanent commitment to a failed strategy in Iraq. Instead, tonight's fundraiser is closed to the press. Of course, it is difficult to tell if the decision to hide tonight's fundraiser is intended to protect President Bush or Senator Santorum. Considering President Bush's plummeting approval ratings, particularly his 34 percent approval rating in Pennsylvania, it is no surprise that Senator Santorum doesn't want to be seen in public with the President. (Survey USA, 3/16/06)

Or maybe President Bush doesn't want to be seen in public with one of the leaders of the Republican culture of corruption in the Senate. Santorum leads the fabled "K Street Project," the Republican effort to install their partisan cronies in key lobbying positions. Senator Santorum has been criticized for accepting a $500,000 home loan from a bank run by one of his campaign donors, and accused of misusing his Political Action Committee's funds. According to reports, Santorum has spent just 18 percent of the money his PAC has raised on candidates, with the rest of the money being spent at fast food restaurants, Starbucks, and retailers. (phillynews.com, 2/21/06; Roll Call, 3/1/06)

"With President Bush's poll numbers in the tank and Senator Santorum mired in scandal, it is difficult to tell who is hiding from whom," said Democratic National Committee spokesman Damien LaVera. "Apparently Senator Santorum is happy to collect campaign cash from President Bush's special interest friends, as long as he doesn't have to be seen in public with one of the least popular politicians in the state.

"Santorum's game of duck and run isn't fooling anyone. Pennsylvania voters are hungry for change, not more of the same culture of corruption that we have seen from Republicans like Rick Santorum. Democrats have a bold vision for America based on honest leadership and real security that will move our country forward. It is time for Republicans in Washington to get on board."

5. Thanks.
I guess it's not gone unnoticed.
Personally, I couldn't stand to be in the same room with either of them.

10. Uhm, so was my step-son
Apparently he got stuck somewhere there, turning into a parking lot only to discover there was a chain across the entrance. He's not used to your narrow streets, so he had to call the cops to block traffic while he got his truck turned around. I'm not sure if that was before or after he blocked traffic because he was afraid he was going to get stuck under one of your bridges, which are apparently don't have quite the clearance as ours because your part of the country is alot older than ours, obviously. He mentioned the pretzeldent was there, also said the truckers hate his guts. I imagine it's because of gas prices, I wish it were for less of a self-centered reason than that.

Maybe the week-end will be brighter!

14. I think they're gone.
Earlier this evening, I sensed an ill wind, and a terrible pall fell over the city, but now the skies have cleared and I can once again hear the laughter of children.
Yup. They're gone.

18. Yeah, I like how they style her hair so
the lobotomy scar doesn't show. That is one very frightening 'the lights are on but nodoby's home' look.

Can you even imagine how many drugs she has to be on to endure living with, ick, him. Now wonder she dresses in shower curtains.

I didn't--wouldn't. Just wondering.

So does she have a designer do her clothes like Jackie Kennedy did? Maybe the "no gay guys cut repub hair" thing applies to designers as well. That color is "Dr. Seuss" green! :wow:

20. Damn!
Did he talk about how Dems are weak on national security because...because he says so? Did he say it even though it's completely absurd, because he knows that if he keeps saying it, it will become true? Did he say it like my daughter did when she was five and she kept insisting she was getting a pony for Christmas, because if she kept repeating it over and over it would certainly happen?
Did he threaten to sing?
When that freaking criminal's heart, if he actually does have one, finally gives out, I hope his punishment in hell is to sing "I'm Sorry" nonstop for eternity. And for the rest of the bastards, when they meet up with him, that they have to listen.

Sorry dickster. Democrats are strong on national security, there is no pony, and you are going to burn in hell some day for your lies. That's the truth.

Hey pirhana, did you see the imigration march in Phoenix? It looked HUGE!

Some say he's the kind you'd wanna have a beer with, but if you visit the 'Burgh...and don't ONCE say "youn's"...you're not really 'getting down' with the locals AT ALL!
