You know, I've had an epiphany. I can't really support Kerry any longer.

The more I look at what's going on, the more disgusted I become with the state of the Democratic party. As much as I like him as a person, I don't really see Kerry out there offering any new solutions. It's been a long and agonizing soul-search, and I truly do love all of you guys in here, but I can't go on with the status quo being what it is. I think I'm gonna have to pull my hat out of the ring. Right now I'm inclined to support Feingold for '08, just because he's willing to do something new and brave, which the rest of the Dems can't seem to be able to manage. As far as this summer goes: at least it'll be a valuable resume-padding experience. I'm sorry to have to break it to you, and thanks for all the memories, but I don't think I can call myself a Kerrycrat any longer.

It seemed pretty sudden. Now, there are some people on DU, who I expect could change on a dime - you weren't one of them. (Also, even if true - a summer with Vektor and working in his office, would likely be the remedy)

Before the Boston event, I did wonder as so many of you were going - what if something happened and Kerry being human - it was a really off day... but that clearly wasn't the case.
