Read this account of a John McCain appearance and see what you think:

1. I guess we don't need to wait for 2008
and a Democratic opponent for McCain's bad temper to show. (It's actually too bad - if independence checking out McCain read his second book - they would strongly consider Kerry. In fact, I almost think I should disingenuously give the book to politically interested moderates who bought the Bush smear job of Kerry. It shows him as wise, smart, incredibly committed, hard working and very kind to the man who then stabbed him in the back.)

2. I love this quote,
"It's hard to do the Lord's work in the city of Satan." Yes Sen. McCain, as long as Cheney (a.k.a. Satan) is the president it will be difficult to get anything constructive done in Washington. Imagine, McCain is this churlish (learned a new word) NOW! Just wait until November '06 when his party is no longer in power and the crowds grow ever more hostile to Bush-loving, Falwell suck-ups. I imagine his churlishness will be in overdrive.

3. that's what I thought, too.
This guy has no class, and very little impulse control, if these comments are any indication! Sheesh. I suppose he thinks he's being a "personality".

4. And with any luck, he will regret having
destroyed the special friendship he once had with the new President.
