horrible!
One horrible statistic, if you ask me, is that the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans are already conservatively estimating that we already have five hundred Operation Enduring Freedom, those who served in Afghanistan, and Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans who already confirmed homeless. And that is conservative estimate. So we can already tell just from that -- we have about five hundred thousand homeless American veterans, half of those from Vietnam, and now we have five hundred at least that are from the current wars. So this is definitely a serious topic. And as far as the specifics as to whether Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is different today than it was in the past; of course it is. Every war’s battles are different. There are unique similarities between the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder of Iraq and Vietnam versus that of World War II.
Great interview!
