I only just got word Joe was going to be on...wanted to let anyone know who is interested in this race!

Joe Sestak is facing "Moonie" Curt Weldon for the PA-07 house seat. He is a GREAT candidate - just retired from the Navy as a Vice Admiral; served in the Clinton White House, has raised big $$$$ already - with help from major endorsers like John Kerry - and he is running unopposed on the Dem ticket so there's no primary fights to be concerned about. I have met him and will vouch that he will be a great rep, seems to be a very intelligent, progressive, caring, and most important, genuine person.

1. I would be delighted if Sestak beat Weldon.

Curt Weldon is so arrogant, long-winded and harshly partisan, he's hard to stomach (I work in DC, which tells you something).

And you all have probably already heard the allegation that Curt Weldon made a verbal slap at the Sestak family after they had their small daughter's brain tumor treated at Children's Hospital here in the District, rather than in Pennsylvania. Read The Hill article below and see what you think.

That stupid remark cost Curt big time because Joe was summarily added to the Netroots ActBlue page and got lots of good blogosphere buzz from high profile bloggers, all triggered by the outstanding idiocy of Curt. Of course Joe is such a great guy that once any decent Democrat met him they would want to support him anyway. (Kerry jumped on the Sestak train with lightning speed. The more I know of Sestak, the more I understand why John jumped so fast to support him).
