Kennedy backs Kerry
Kennedy says he'd again back Kerry for president
Sun Apr 23, 2006 12:17 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sen. Edward Kennedy said on Sunday if fellow Massachusetts Democrat John Kerry makes another bid for the presidency in 2008, he would again back him.

"If he (Kerry) runs, I'm supporting him," Kennedy, the leading liberal in the U.S. Congress, told NBC's "Meet the Press."

With Kennedy's help, Kerry won the Democratic presidential nomination two years ago, but lost the 2004 White House race to Republican President George W. Bush.

Kerry said last week he was taking a hard look at another run in 2008, and intended to make a decision near the end of the year.

1. You know what I realized?
That by deleting my MTP on my dvr to record Kerry,
I missed Kennedy on MTP.

Oh well. MTP comes on again at 10 pm.
And to me Kerry before Kennedy.

Kennedy has been all over the place supporting Kerry, I remember he came out and supported Kerry '08 right after the 04 election.

Me thinks Kerry has a true friend in his senior Senator from Mass.
What a team. The best.

2. I happened to catch a snippet of MTP
Timmy asked Kennedy about Romney. Ted Kennedy had a good diplomatic answer (although you Mass folks probably would have rather gotten red meat), and then he said "But I like The Democrat". Timmy, said "oh you mean John Kerry", and Ted said yes!!! I loved it because Teddy got a plug in for Kerry while changing the subject away from Romney. Nice. Very nice.

3. Senator Kennedy plugged Senator Kerry on Larry King to the other
night. I was watching and he was asked about Hillary, he then mention we has a strong contender in Mass too. He went on the say he expected, but JK hadn't said for sure, that he would run again in 2008 because he can so close in 2004.
