For Kerry, a Strategic Return to the Limelight in today's Times?

"In kind of a strange way, I think it was smart to step out on the week that Bush was stepping out," said Steve Jarding, a Democratic strategist. "He is letting people know that he's going to be in Bush's face every step of the way, and if you are John Kerry, that is exactly where you want to be."

At a time when the nation remains bitterly divided and Democrats lack a national figurehead, Mr. Kerry's moves suggest that he is trying to set himself up as a kind of shadow president, a leader to the nearly 58 million Americans who voted for him.

Mr. Jarding says he sees Mr. Kerry "laying down a marker" to other Democrats, including Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, who might challenge him for the nomination in 2008. He says Mr. Kerry will be de facto head of his party until someone knocks him off that perch.

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but it's nice to see him get a little positive coverage two and a half months after the election. Ok, breathing normally now...

I bet Kerry said "What the fuck are you doing Max, joining the "all hat, no cattle" brigade?" I lived in Montana off and on since 1980. Max Baucus does not, or at least did not, wear friggin' cowboy hats.

After people hang out around us a while it does seem as if the Kerrycrat Kraze does seem to take hold. But we are not a bad influence we are a great influence on those who may be headed down the wrong path or those who are confused LMAO. But never bad the only time we are bad is when we go on the attack because of all the fruit loops that find eating their own and spewing total bullshit about Kerry there only means of hope to make others like their candidate and hate Kerry. That is when you can say a Kerrycrat might be be a bad influence because we get mean and even evil at times. :evilgrin: But once you get to know us we are great bunch to hang out with and we enjoy having fun. Just don't attack another Kerrycrat or Kerry and you got it made.
