I sent the following to Subway:

I read the following on Superfrenchie.com, which stated that you had an ad, which promoted a chicken sub and also insulted France.

If this is true, it is racist, done in poor taste, and plays into the hands of the right wing idiots who like their freedom fries. If Subway wants to take this path, then you can go there without my business.

Superfrenchie.com:

"The Subway chain of sandwiches is currently using this ad to promote their chicken sandwiches.

“France and chicken, somehow it just goes together”

To me, this just add to the general feeling that Americans, young and old, will have for a very long time this image of the French as “cowards”, even though many of them have no idea of the actual historical facts (or they would not be saying those things)"

I think you may also want to ask the owner if he has any kids in Iraq right now. It would also be good to point out that during the American Revolution the French fought on the side of the Americans. The French are not cowards.
