Need prayers for a good Anglo-Catholic
My ex-wife's significant other was in a car accident yesterday afternoon as a result of a seizure.

He's developed bleeding in the brain and is being prepped for surgery.

Your prayers and wishes, please.

1. A prayer to St. Peregrine for healing
O God, in St. Peregrine you gave us an outstanding example of faith and patience. We humbly ask you that, by imitating him and by the help of his prayers, we may believe more fully in your healing help, bear the suffering of this life without wavering, and come with joy to the peace of heaven. We ask especially for a healing of our brother mentioned by TrogL. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

3. OK, false alarm
The ex-wife panicked because they wouldn't give him anything to eat or drink. When I got there he was crunching ice cubes and grinnin'.

Then again, maybe the prayers worked.

4. Glad to hear all is well...
...and will continue to ask the intercession of the fine Celtic saint Elwin, whose feast day it is. :-)

11. He's coming home tomorrow
Final diagnosis, stroke caused by blood clot in lungs breaking free, caused car accident, caused seizure, brain bleeding, broken ribs and some cuts and contusions.

He's coming home tomorrow. He got moved to an ordinary ward a few minutes ago.

Scary as all get-out, but here's hoping for a quick recovery.

13. Final update
He's out of the hospital and at home and resting somewhat comfortably.

Final diagnosis is at least one possibly two strokes.

We got the car out of the impound and it doesn't look as bad as we originally thought. The front grill is wrecked and the frame that holds the grill on is bent as is the radiator. The radiator fan is smashed and both headlight lenses, but all the bulbs were intact. The battery came lose from its mount and took out the fuse box cover. The engine otherwise looks fine. It's still got oil and tranny fluid. The rad appears to still be holding fluid which is surprising considering it's somewhat bent. The main engine fan has a bent blade but that may be salvageable. The driver's front quarter panel has been pushed back a little bit but it didn't even bend the driver's side door. The windshield has a small crack in one corner.

The airbags didn't fire because the bumper didn't move enough to activate the sensor.

14. one more update
Looks like the insurance company is going to allow them the claim even though the policy had lapsed. Apparently there's some sort of grace period.
