Catholic Answers Forum: "Worldwide Praise for President Bush"
I don't know why I even bother anymore, but every once in a while I drop in on the Catholic Answers forums (http://forums.catholic.com) - I guess since I can't stomach visiting the real freeperville, it's amusing to check out what the Catholic freeps are saying.

This guy "gilliam" apparently spends nearly fulltime re-posting crap he finds in freeperville, drudge, etc. This one he found in Murdoch/FoxNews-owned "The Australian", at: http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,12505759%255E7583,00.html :

Worldwide Praise for President Bush (at http://forums.catholic.com/showthread.php?t=43269)

"Scrapbook: Tide begins to turn on Bush critics
...
MANY Europeans are somewhat embarrassed by the democratic changes in the Middle East. Hadn't they promised, governments and media alike, that the Arab street would rise up against US military forces, that Islam would burn, that the American army would get bogged down, that the terrorist attacks would multiply, and that democracy would not result nor be exported? These dramas did not occur. Either Bush is lucky, or it is too early to judge or Bush's analysis was not false.

– Guy Sorman, in Le Figaro in France

("... These dramas did not occur." WTF?!?!?!)

1. Tell them to praise God, not that sinner Bush.
I tell you, if Martians landed in this world and were unfamiliar with Christianity and all they had to judge it by was George W. Bush, they would think being a Christian meant strutting around being flattered by sycophants and praising your own virtue. :puke:

Besides, I'd caution against early appraisals of what's going on around the world. There are so many factors that come into play. A quick perusal of recent history will be warning enough for most people.
