thanks for posting it! He's so right about the efforts of many w/in the Church to deemphasive the BVM and most of the traditions -- and build churches that look depressingly Protestant. We had a young seminarian years ago when I was on the RCIA team in our parish and he didn't want to teach anything about the Rosary, wanted to downplay Mary. We converts told him how wrong he was, how converts always want to learn the Rosary and at least half learn it before they start RCIA. He
was a cradle Catholic who claimed he'd never heard of praying the Rosary the night before a funeral. :shrug:

2. I guess "the young seminarian" had never been to

Mexico and Central America where Mary and the Rosary are very much part of our faith, in life and also in death.
