Bless you Papa.

We have disagreed on many things but agreed on more. I pray you see your Earthly and Heavenly parents soon!

God bless you!

1. Should hear an update around 3 a.m.
USA Today Website said they plan to have some kind of announcement/update about his condition at 9 a.m. Rome time, about 3 a.m. EST.

The story didn't make his condition as dire as it sounded earlier this evening, but given his age and other health problems, it is of great concern.

The man is just amazing. If he has indeed fulfilled his earthly work, may God greet him with open arms.

2. I remember praying for him to live at least until the Jubillee Year

2000 began. He did pretty well on that, didn't he? :-)

Did you all see the photos and/or video of JP II with the children and the white dove? They were releasing doves (two, I think) as symbols of peace from a window of the papal apartments Sunday and one dove kept flying back in to the room. The pope was smiling, really smiling, so I think he must have been laughing inside about the dove that wouldn't fly away. His face hasn't been able to show expression very well for years so it was good to see him smiling and moving around, helping the kids try to shoo the dove outside. I saw the still photos at Yahoo and then BBC showed video.

I'm praying for him to be with us as long as he is able and for him to have a happy death when the time comes. I'm also praying for a new pope who will be a strong leader as John Paul II has been and I pray we get one who will preserve the teachings of the Church, unpopular as they may be with some.
