Paxil and flu symptoms
I started taking Paxil again on the 24th of last month. The following day, after 1 dose, I started feeling lousy. By Thursday, Thanksgiving, I was sick and thought I had the flu. It felt like the flu - I was exhausted, achy, had chills, some chest congestion, etc. Also some nausea and diarrhea.

Day 9 now and I'm still exhausted. Most of the other symptoms have gone but I'm still sleeping about 16 to 18 hours a day. Called my doc's office and they think it's the Paxil!

I've taken it before without having such extreme symptoms. Seems bizarre. Googled it and found that a lot of people complain of flu-like symptoms when they STOP taking it but I can't find much about when they start.

Anyone else had this happen?

1. My depression gives me flu symptoms.
Has that ever happened to you? Is it possible that these are your own symptoms that the Paxil is magnifying.

3. I had mild flu symptoms for weeks when I was coming off it.
But was fine, for the most part, when I was taking it regular.
