On Eeyore's 140th B'day, wishing our forelorn friend the best

And wondering...was Eeyore a Schizoid personality or just suffering from Major Depression?
What was A.A. Milne teaching kids about the personalities that populate the world?

2. The fact that Eeyore was my fave as a kid should have been a tipoff of things to come.

:)

I still love Winnie the Pooh cartoons. One of the few children's shows that children should actually watch. In each episode they solve their problems without ever resorting to hurting others in any way. I actually own The Tigger Movie, and I'm 43 lol.

A wonderful thing is a Tigger
A Tigger's a wonderful thing.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
Their bottoms are made out of spring
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
fun, fun, fun, fun, fun,
The most wonderful thing
about Tiggers is:
I'm the only one!

3. LOVE Pooh!
Would read to daughter on way to pre-pre-K, 22 years ago (among other times.) And love the excerpt you've posted. Such talent, light, whimsical, thoughtful.

used to sing that song with my kids all the time. somehow it never ever grated on my nerves.

don't feel like you are too old to love tigger. my daughter got tigger tattooed on her boob at 30.
