So my depression, panic anxiety disorder has been rediagnosed as
Bipolar II.

I start taking Lamictal in the morning. The whole "keep an eye out for a rash" thing has me feeling a bit nervous. Anyone else taking this med and if so how well does it work fo you?

1. I'm diagnosed bipolar II and am taking Lamictal.
Have been on it for about a year. Yes you have to watch for that rash in the beginning but I think it is extremely rare (1 in 1000 or so). I was misdiagnosed as depressive for almost 12 years and was on Zoloft out the wazoo. It just kept getting worse. Finally there was a suicide attempt and I was hospitalized where the real diagnosis was finally made.

If you are bipolar II my experience is that you will have a much easier time getting your moods to stabilize but dealing with the depressive side of the bipolar will be harder. It's like you wake up and look around and all the problems that were there to begin with are, sad to say, still there.

Hang in there--it takes awhile.

2. I always feel a little anxious when either my or Doug's meds
are changed.

Walking helps that. It's free and the only side effect is, I wonder why I don't walk more.

4. Yes...Seriously
walking is a great way for me to relax. Especially with someone to talk to.

3. My friend was recently rediagnosed to Bipolar and put on that.
About 2 months ago. He has no bad reactions to it and it works wonderfully. He likes it better than whatever he was on for depression and anxiety (I dont remember what it was)

5. I'm Bipolar II also
I don't take Lamictal but my sister takes it for Mood Disorder NOS. She's never had any problems with it and says it works well for her.
