Anyone gone cold turkey off Cymbalta?
I'm apparently going to have to soon so I want to know how bad a crash I'm in for.

1. Inadvertently, when I had a mix up with my prescription.
It's going to be rough. I had confusion, free floating anxiety and restlessness and the ever popular Brain-zaps.

Would you have access to one of the other SSRI's? When I finally realized I was having SSRI withdrawal I got out an old bottle of prozac which helped until I got my prescription mix up fixed.

2. Got this info
from Drugs.com, "Do not suddenly stop taking your duloxetine (Cymbalta) . If you have been instructed to stop taking duloxetine, ask your healthcare professional how to slowly decrease the dose. This is to decrease the chance of having discontinuation symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, headache, vomiting, irritability, nightmares, prickling or tingling feelings." (My bold)

This drug is very hard on the liver so getting off of it should be better for you in the long run. Maybe they will give you something to ease the transition. I hope it is not too hard on you and that you will soon be feeling better.

3. That's the problem
I can't find a psychiatrist nor afford one at this point so I'm going to have to drop it.

4. Gradually decrease dosage
instead of just stopping cold. Here is a website you might want to take a look at: http://www.clinical-depression.co.uk/

Wishing you the best pal.
