Nothing worse than a bipolar ex-drunk bureaucrat who needs a target for his anger issues itching for a fight! :toast:

10. Isn't "rallying the forces" against DU rules?

13. this is not that.
i don't think that a link to a thread in a small group about something happening in a big forum really counts as rallying the troops. maybe using the word bullshit might be considered a problem, the tone, etc. but i think this is mild. really, the rule is intended for malicious intent.
this is not an official pronouncement, just an opinion.

5. what kind of study fails to mention that usage went up concurrent with a
whole slew of new drugs? and i believe there were also changes in the dsm about children with mental illness. i believe there still are some dx's that you cannot give to someone under 18, but depression and bipolar were changed.

i hate those threads. why can't you all just pull yourselves up by your bootstraps, blech, blech, blech.

12. Thanks for the tip
I just answered a couple of posts by a 6-post TS'd troll. I know s/he won't read them but they still need to be answered.

It's hard to believe how ignorant some people can be after all these years of mental health being in the spotlight. I guess we still have a long way to go.

That is, if I don't wig out and kill my grandparents because I'm taking "nerve pills" :eyes:

15. I must be a REALLY violent thug than...

I take 2 different SSRI type drugs Wellbutrin is a straight up SSRI (weirdest smelling med I have ever taken BTW)and Cymbalta .It targets both serotonin and norepinephrine .Cymbalta helps the psych issues and stops the pain of the viral neuropathy in my spine.. And *gasp* I take Adderall and Klonopin too.

Hey, I have less suicidal thoughts..At least I can function. With Adderall I can hold my attention long enough to hear what is being said, and do art and it cuts down on the PSTD startle reflex shit.

I always research a drug first. I look for other's imputs both bad and good before I take it.I weigh the risks and benefits first.Than I might try it out,or not. But if it works great if it doesn't or the side effects are intolerable I will quit the drug.Taper off it myself. I have done this for alot of meds in my day. It's pretty clear cut process. Bottom line is ometimes it helps or it's a dud.

Recently I quit taking 2 drugs, Neurontin, and Effexor. Those two drugs were bad for me.I lost control of my eye movements on neurontin and was dizzy as hell running into door frames. Effexor gave me nasty shock sensations and it made me loopy and made me trigger easy.
Might be good for someone else but for me it sucked baaad.
So if just taking an SSRI is what freaks 'em out.. Shit if they only knew the kids of meds that keep me from losing it! The aghast reaction would be hilarious.

Anyway what meds you decide to take, how much, which ones work or if you take none at all it is up to you and your doc.

I do put up stuff here warning about potential dangers (like new black box warnings, anti psychotics and the danger of overheating or the risk of sugar levels rising dangerously with Abilify..)Putting up a post about dangerous side effects of some drugs, sharing my good or bad experiences as I am trying out some prescribed drug does not mean I am pro or anti medication for anyone else..
