Trying in vain to get my thoughts collected Petition for my sanity being rubber stamp rejected This trip is taking too much longer than expected.
Looking for holes inside of holes and wheel inside wheel Grasping constantly for how it is that I’m supposed to feel Never sure where my dreaming ends, and I again become real
Dancing on the heads of pins communing with angels To maddening rhythms singing of personal hells The beat hijacks my heartbeat and the bass line swells
The music saturates my mind; craving its own voice But chaos has hold of my tongue; eliminating that choice I try to filter through the static and only get more noise
I see the end but never reach it. Like a race where I’m endlessly running Pounding and sweating for endless meters, but the finish line isn’t coming And the rhythm of madness behind me I hear; and its step’s incessant drumming. -S
Am I the only one who feels this way?
