What Ancient Sites would you visit?
I would love to visit Egypt and travel from the Nile delta to the southern temples, but of course with Bush in office I fear that Americans are not welcome.

I would also love to see Greece, Israel, and the ruins in Iran/Iraq...but I just don't see some of that happening either.

1. Ancient sites
I would dearly love to get to Tell el Amarna. I did a master's thesis on the Amarna period and just find it fascinating. And Dendera of course, to honor Hathor, who is one of my matron deities. Hierokompolis would be interesting too - for the pre-dynastic Painted Tomb. Finally Abydos - for the early dynastic monuments and Seti I's temple.

entire greek city off the track in Italy. No tourists...you will be alone in the country on a stone road that Jason is reputed to have built

5. I've been to a lot
But, a few I haven't, and some I'd like to see again.

To see again: Egypt - Pyramids, temples, tombs, etc., Stonehenge, Greece - Parthenon, Crete, some other islands.

To see for the first time:
Ruins of Iran/Iraq - the Mesopotamian civilizations (not likely any time soon due to the political situation)
Ruins of the Maya and Inca civilizations (not likely soon simply due to money)

6. Egypt's Valley of the Kings, All of the Roman ruins, and the Holy Land
I'll consider myself lucky if I get to see one of the three in my lifetime.

8. So many possibilities!
Delphi is magical! There are still lots of places in Greece and Magna Graecia that I want to visit someday.

Of the Seven Blunders of the World, I wouldn't recommend this:
