HP and Half-Blood Prince - started reading it yet?
Just curious as to how far along people are in the book -- I see from some of the posts that a few have finished the book

My copy came in the mail yesterday -- I'm about 1/2 way through it

1. Finished it at about 1:00 a.m.
I don't think it's a spoiler to note that Hermione and Ron really, really should get a room.

This may be the best book yet. This one changes everything, and does provide a lot of answers by tying up loose bits of info from previous installments.

It's great.

6. finally finished this afternoon ...
I'm hoping that Ginny doesn't listen, but goes out looking for him
After all, E. Nesbit had a princess show up at the scene of the big knight/dragon showdown, driving her own car, with a sword on the seat beside her "because I'm better at fencing than the Prince is, anyway" ...

4. Already finished.
But I don't want to spoil it for you so I won't react at all except to say it's a great continuation.

5. done
Finished at about 9am this morning.

I thoroughly enjoyed it; I'm disgusted with some of the unknowns we're left to ponder while we wait for book 7. Another 2-3 years, or???

8. call me Herminone
finished it up around 3pm Sunday afternoon....

I think I'm going to give it a few days to fully absorb and then start a re-read of all the books

My partner started it last night -- and I can already hear her questions/comments... lol

How long should we wait before we discuss specifics (spoilers) - give it a couple weeks so others can finish up the book?

10. Mine came a few days ago. I might finish it by sometime tonight
No outright spoilers here in the post, but some general thoughts:

I found the first hundred or so pages a little tough. It seemed even darker and more depressing than OOTP.

I'm coming to love the character of Luna more and more. Neville as well. I really like Rowling's fleshing out of these secondary characters. It really makes the world come alive.

Got on the Staurday it came out. I wanted to stretch the experience out as much as I could. Still shocked at how the ending came about.
