Chameleon Turns To Screen

Writer-director Tim McCanlies (Secondhand Lions) will adapt the Piers Anthony fantasy novel Spell for Chameleon for Warner Brothers and director Wolfgang Petersen, Variety reported. The film centers on a young man who lives in a country where everyone possesses magical powers, and who faces exile if he can't figure out what his own powers might be, the trade paper reported.

Actually, I enjoyed the first three when I was a early teen...and then he just kept on cranking them out, each one getting worse. (IMO, of course.)

1. I can think of two feature movies based on this premise (not the names)

They were taking place in Hollywood, were structured as detective stories and had an anti-mccarthy theme to them....The theme was more intriguing than the plot.
