I fished this out of the archives.

1. That's really exquisite
I love it. What lens did you use?

2. Ok, time to freak out a little...
Camera: Pentax Optio S
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture: f/4.3
Focal Length: 5.8 mm

This point and shoot camera fits in an altoids tin.
About the only things it does well is macros, landscapes, and it has crazy white balance skillz.

It records a lot of audio with great compression, and did I mention it fits in an altoids tin.
I think I have only gotten one or two good portrait distance shots out of it. Now it records classes for my GTA sweetie.

6. I can't remember ... Puget Sound area?
That sure looks like something around Seattle/Olympia/Bremerton. It has that sullen, brooding, quiet look I've seen there so often. You captured the mood very well, I think.

((I'm puzzled why people hide their profiles.))

5. Excellent
It's not all that hard to get a pretty picture of a pretty flower, but it is very tough to get a really good one where the background clutter is not only attenuated but even enhances the image. Good control of focus and composition. Very nice.

8. One of the nicest flower shots I've seen
Looks like you had the perfect light.... exposure consistent across the shot.. focus. And with a point and shoot? Goes to show that you don't need to have a big check book suckin' camera to take really good photographs.

I really got hooked on flowers a year ago. Hopin' I can take all my learnin' and stuff and do a better job this spring with flower snaps.
