Should I take new architecture photos? Help me decide
Hi, I was going through my photos trying to find something that befits 'architecture'. Let me know what you think of these, or if I should go out and take new ones this weekend in the 30 degree weather (there's 6" of snow on the ground right now, more predicted for Friday and Saturday).

Gold Hill School

Sandcastle

The Red Store

Casa Grande (oldest civilized dwelling)

Criticism encouraged.

1. Sandcastle
and casa grande might work well.

Their are difficulties with the school and store pics, things that really distract, like the powerlines in the red store, for example.

The crop is a tiny bit off on the school picture. In fact, I think it would have been even better in portrait orientation, IMO.

But that's just me. I'd go with the sandcastle pic. But I might consider pushing the shadows up a little bit first. It is a very pretty shot, and a bit mysterious.

Don't mean to offend, just giving crit.

3. Thanks!
I will play with the sandcastle pic and repost it. I am thinking it is probably the best of what I currently have. If I am able to get out and do some more shooting, I will post those next week.

2. I like the old school
I'm a sucker for any old buildings. But I have to go with Sand Castle. Have some suggestionns on improving Sand Castle but they aren't important unless you decide to enter it and what to hear my ramblings.

Have a new engine in the F'mobile so I can now get into the hills. When the weather clears, and our biz slows down, I'll get up to see ya' and we'll go snappin' in your area. Looks like a great place for photos.

4. Thanks FG!
Tell me your suggestions on the sand castle pic, I'd love to hear them. And anytime you're ready and can come up on a weekend, just let me know! I got some new lenses and filters for my camera and I am itching to go on a photo safari with you and INF when she gets back!

5. I favor the sand castle aesthetically.

But I wonder if it is really architecture. Not designed for human spacial use, but it certainly incorporates architectural elements... And it begs the question as to whether doll houses or bird houses would be eligible for entry.

As Photo Contest Grand Pooh Bah this month, I would be open to the sand castle being your entry.

I also really like the Casa Grande. What can I say? I'm a sucker for old houses. :)
