Still holdin' on to one way outside the box snap for the contest, but it hasn't stopped me from playin' round with a few things. Just to give me a break from dealing with the public... have I mentioned that the human race is doomed...:( .. cleanse my mind so I can get up tomorrow and start all over again. :eyes:

This is a scan of a badly faded pixie I took with an instamatic around 77' or 78'.. don't remember exactly. Had so many blown up areas that I decided to "process" it on the wild side. The Mesa Verde Cliff Dwellings...



And this is one of the snaps from my journey into Phantasm Land. Still needs some work.. remove lens flare spots and a few nasty reflections....

2. Providing a little balance to my image of death

I know that most people are uncomfortable when they see snaps from my journey into the Phantasm Place. (Ms F hates them) A lot of people don't like images that represent death and I completely understand that. It just doesn't bother me. When I came upon this large room in the maze of corridors I explored that day I was really taken back by the cold isolation of it. The empty chairs, blah, blah, blah……

So, to provide some balance here I’ll post an opposite snap. It is in a like perspective but this is a place where weddings and other happy “life” things are held. Oh, and Pennsylvania never has sunny days so this is what it is.....fairly truthful to exactly as I saw it that day.

3. I like this a lot and where in

PA is it as I sit here less than a mile from the border with strong sunlight streaming in the windows. BTW cloud cover, late fall into winter, sunny pretty much the rest of the time with small breaks for violent thunderstorms that last maybe a day or two to interupt the sunny blue slies so we don't get bored with the weather.:evilgrin:

It's probably a two hour drive (max) from you. I'm still workin' on a photo essay about "this place" for lakemonster11 (and any other history buffs) but it requires a lot of those "word" things and I can't decide which snaps to post to tell the story. Some day I'll get around to it...
