4. Not these. These are from Dicksonia Antarctica, Tasmanian tree fern
Only the fiddleheads from the Ostrich fern (Matteuccia struthiopteris) are safe to eat. Most ferns are toxic or carcinogenic.

5. Oh, okay...
I guess I should have clarified that by saying that OUR wild fiddlehead ferns are considered a delicacy here and are especially good with green peas. I will definitely stay away from the Tasmanian tree fern. :)

7. How did you get those cats to pose like that?
Every time I come around with my camera, my cats run away.

10. There not posing
They just aren't paying attention. They are rarely willing subjects.

8. I really like the 3rd and 4th (if I'm counting correctly)
Great exposure... color.... sharp. All nice but those are my faves.

Geez... all these new cameras. At least yours is a Canon :9 Seems like you're pickin' up the particulars very quickly.

I'm looking forward to doin' flowers this year. Hopefully I've learned a thing or three and can do better this season. I know nothing about flowers other than my own narrow appreciation for the color, form, and texture.

9. Nice and crisp! Flora AND Fauna!
And love the surprise kitty-ops in the middle of the flora/plant photos.

You have convinced me...it's time to get a new digital. Photography is way too much fun to not have good equipment.

Good work, Mr. McD! :hi:
