1. I have to get dry suit certified before I head that direction
for a vacation. I hear the water's too chilly for wet suit diving....

Thanks for sharing!

16. Yeah, it's pretty cold.
Well, VERY cold really, but people do dive up here, so I guess the dry suits do the trick.

Edited on Wed Apr-19-06 07:51 PM by F.Gordon
They're multiplying!!
:yoiks:

Ahh... ummm.... errr.. I've suggested a few things to the other Blue. I suscribe to a list of "almost" every Call For Entries and Photography Exhibitions in the country. Haven't looked at this months list yet. Maybe I should see what is going on in Alaska for the ahhh.. ummm... errr other Blue.

Edit? I was so shook up after seeing two Blues that I couldn't concentrate.

My daughter the lawyer. :) Did you not meet her a couple weeks ago?

Here she is with her little cousin at Christmas time. (Hope you don't mind, Blue_in_CA ... you just look so CUTE here.)

9. Sorry. I missed that
I've just been speed browsing of late. How many Blue's are there?

I agree... very cute photo. Beautiful smile. A lawyer? Kewl. What type of law?

Are you listening to your daughter? Just "do it". I have a list of several other places you might check out. If you're interested I can dig up the links. You should also consider joining one of the "non-internet" groups in your area. You might meet a few arrogant types but most people love helping others.

11. There are two more baby Blues...
...but they haven't signed on to DU yet. Blue_in_CA works here http://www.omm.com/webcode/navigate.asp?nodehandle=519 and does pretty much whatever they tell her to, but her main interest is in Securities.

13. Ah shucks...
guys! Thanks! My mom's excellent camera work just makes me look good. I'm heading out with the new camera (yea! Thanks mom!) to a rugby game this weekend. Hopefully I will have some amateur shots to post on Monday.

4. Yeah, what bvar22 and Blue _In__CA said.
You do have the talent and it shows. Great pic, and lots of pilots and wanna be pilots would love that as a big wall photo.

5. But probably not...
This could be you flying into Anchorage for your fabulous Alaska vacation. :)

The plane in question is a 747, and doesn't seem to have the livery of either Northwest or United, the only U.S. passenger carriers still flying 747s. Most likely, it's an Asian airline making a refueling stop before heading onward to someplace in the eastern U.S. I don't know if any of those flights even allow deboarding at Anchorage -- the passengers probably have to stay in their seats while the aircraft is refueled, then promptly takes off again for its actual destination.

(Pedantic? Moi? ;-) )

15. It was luck really...
I was just scrambling up the hill to get to my favorite spot when the plane flew over, so I just snapped it quick.
