George Bush visited my volunteer camp home yesterday.
It was totaly surreal and creepy. I don't want to double post the photos, so check out my thread in GD. :hi:

1. Great photos and report, ITF.
I can't believe some of the replies on your thread, though. People like to talk big about how THEY would have responded to the prez, but I imagine things would be a lot different if they were actually in that situation with the secret service and snipers so ever present. I think your response was perfect.

3. Thanks for the encourging words, Blue.
I was totally taken off guard by someof those initial responses. But I like the response by one person further down the thread who said something like, "Of course they were nice to the president. It's called diplomacy."
:spray:

2. I'd recommend this thread too if I could
But recommended the other one, despite some of the thick responses it drew from the armchair warriors out there.

Good on ya, intheflow!

5. Great pics!
I think you handled the situation perfectly. What do some of those people think screaming in his face would accomplish, anyway? :eyes:

6. Great pics and I think you handled things

very well. Love the shots showing the snipers and all. When I heard he was visiting down there you are the first person I thought of. Love love love the stare down, hell that probably did more to affect him the yelling, cussing or anything like that. No excuse to try to get away with out looking weaker. You know, you are a natural photo journalist. Going to have to send Kay that thread so she can show it to her class too. She does teach the photojournalism part but hasn't missed a chance to reeducate some born repubettes (our word for students that vote the way parents do without thought) to at least look around and think. Very sly about it too.
