Damn I love this camera

Yeah, I know, it's not JUST the camera that takes the picture, but I DO feel more confident with the D200 than I did with the D70 :P

1. Is that some kind of mutant moose?
 (I know, I know -- white-tailed deer, right?)

These are really pretty shots.

3. Used my Sigma 80-400 OS (optical stabilization)
Works great in good light, blah in low light.

The color is as much a product of exposure as it is of reality. I set the camera to Mode III color (which is supposed to help enhance foliage, etc), the only post processing was a little sharpening and cropping, so nothing major.

Glad you like it :)

6. It SURE helps that you can shorten the depth-of-field.
Using a wider aperture and faster shutter to reduce the depth of field in that first photo raises it from "nice" to "excellent" in my opinion. (My point-and-shoot doesn't have that control.) If the foreground leaves were in focus, the shot would be rather mundane and nowhere nearly as good. The depth of field and focus on the fawn makes that shot, imho.
