Trying out our new Nikon D50 (couple of big pics)
Hi, everyone. Beautiful work you're posting here! I had a chance this afternoon to play a little with Call Me Wesley's ("our") new Nikron D50. Enjoy!

1. Nice! Does Ginger speak Italian, German, French, English, and Romansh?
Zenzero! Gingembre! Ingwer! Ginger! :silly:

2. Ginger comes running for "roast beef" in any language,
of that I can assure you! But he'd pale at being called by his name in any other language.

How're you, TahitiNut? I haven't seen you in ages! :pals:

3. That's what you get for hanging around LBN so much. (grin)

(I know how time-consuming the mod hottub can be.)

Funny ... I thought Swiss cats wore bells ... like the cattle.

I guess Ginger has at least some Burmese/Siamese roots, though.

4. I had forgotten that you had dipped your toes
in the Mod Hot Tub. Call Me Wesley had to reminded me of that when I was telling him that I'd met you in the Lounge a couple of years ago and about your Swiss experience.

As to Ginger's neckwear, scroll up and look at the photo again. He's better attired than any Swiss cow. Notice the turquoise and lapis lazuli stones on his collar? He used to have amythest and onyx on it, too, but he scratched those off. :eyes:

So nice to see you again!

5. This one's especially for JeffR!
This afternoon, about 2 p.m.: looking down our street from the end of our driveway, to Lago Maggiore, across to Locarno, Muralto and Tenero. The little people at the bottom of the street are Call Me Wesley's sister, Manuela, her partner, Rolf, and their Samoyad and poodle, just returning from the afternoon walk. :hi:

6. Thanks, Heidi! That is some view.
I'd post a pic in kind, from the end of our driveway, but everyone would think it was an accidental snap!

I have a feeling your camera's going to be much used. Look forward to seeing more.

:hi:

9. Nah ... Here's momma spider, right before she laid the eggs:
Unfortunately, set on automatic, not enough light, so the sharpness is messed up. But it was one big spider:

Great pic of yours! :hi:
