Easter Skiing
Switzerland again, hey I can't help it, I am seriously ADDICTED and it's only 140mi. from my house. :hi:

Yesterday the weather was the best of the entire season: blue skies and crispy powder. UNREAL.

The boarders were in hog heaven, even my hubby got some powder action, he said it was like surfing.

Happy boarder!

Enjoying the view. Traumhaftes Wetter!

Me and my ghetto boarder. LOL.

When are you coming to Alaska? We were just down at Alyeska Resort this morning for Easter brunch with the family. The conditions were great and the snow was falling. Why don't you fly on over here next weekend? :)

our dream destinations while eating fondue last night, and Alaska is up at the top of our list, but I think he wants to come during the summer so that he can go diving. :eyes:

He wants to find some wrecks, either off the coast of BC or ?

I'll check out the resorts in AK, I bet you get some powder up there!! I don't use my Canon that much during the winter, prefer the little SonyCyber shot because it fits in my pocket and I can take it on the slopes. :P

But spring is around the corner.... ;)

2. Wow
The third one is incredible! I'm jealous, I was supposed to ski yesterday but ended up snowshoeing instead.

This is outside of Baker City, OR. I'm the one with the backpack snapping pics.

3. Are snowshoes hard to use?
Are they easier or harder than cross-country skis?

6. Easier
I'd say they're easier on uphills and downhills. If you have the glide mastered on X-country skiis you'll be faster on flats. It's easy if someone has broken the trail but if it's thigh deep snow and you have to break, it's strenuous.

5. Very nice, looks more like Germany there...with pines and all
are you anywhere near Crater Lake? My hubby has a dive trip planned to Great Lakes next summer, and may try to swing out west to dive Crater Lake, I guess their dive season is incredibly short?

I'm never in the shots, because I take them all. LOL.

7. Crater Lake
I had to look it up, yesterday was my 4 week anniversary of living in ID so I'm still finding my bearings. It looks like I'm about 8 hours away from Crater Lake National Park.

I'm usually never in shots but since I let someone borrow my small camera for the day I figured I could post the picture.
