Canon 5D Mark II

Canons new toy had me salivating at the mouth at the thought of high quality DSLR and 1080p HD video capabilities. The price is on the edge for me though at 2700$.

But what I am really making this thread for, is this;

In case someone was considering it (which probably would not be many given the price range and the state of things) - thats something that should not be missed.
Its does not render the camera completely useless. But I just figured it should not be something you were not aware of due to inaction on my part.

It means new lenses and not a new camera body as my christmas gift to myself, at least.

2. I had heard about this previously, but

I really have not been able to see any marked decrease in image quality when viewed at any resolution except extreme magnification. I am not saying that the dots are not there, but I just wonder if some aren't making a mountain out of a mole hill. I don't know. Canon would be best to handle this differently though than the focus issue on the 1D Mark III though.
