What I woke up to yesterday morning: -23. This morning? -27. The -1 right now feels positively balmy.

1. Hmm, that looks eerily familiar.

Now, TODAY Anchorage had record WARM temperatures, 50 degrees, high winds, rain and people's houses flooding because the storm drains are backed up with melting ice. I'll take the cold, thank you. I'm so glad I live in the part of town that I do - no problems here, but school has been closed for three days, and my husband who was out this morning said the parking lots are almost impossible - an inch of water on top of ice.

We're supposed to normalize over the weekend. I'm looking for some snow because right now it's UGLY here.
