Poll question: Seasonal Contest Entry Poll
O.K. I've pretty much settled on which photo I'm going to enter; I'm just not sure whether I should go with color or black-and-white! Any advice?

1. When in doubt, throw color out.
:)

3. The black and white shows more depth IMHO.
Nice picture.

4. Black and white. Play with contrast and or curves
Edited on Thu Feb-05-09 04:22 PM by alfredo
a bit to see what that does for the blacks A bit of tweaking of the curves, especially on the darker shades will make a big difference. It won't take much. Try it with the color version too.

6. I voted for the color - because -
usually I would be inclined to go for the b/w esp in this kind of photo.
BUT, there is hope in the light green, there is contrasting warmth in what I perceive as afternoon sun, contrasts that the black and white utterly misses, it turns the color photo into something unusual in a strange way.
I really really like it.

7. I wound up going with the B&W, because...
...although I agree with Mira's opinion of the color version, by the time I made my decision, someone else had posted a color tree-trunks-and-snow image, and I didn't want to echo their photo with my own. The black-and-white at least avoids that. Anyway, thanks for your input!
