1. scanned pictures
I love these. My scanner is the pits. I have yet to hook up the used 3 in one that I bought. In any case, I was going over some of my old pictures and was disappointed to see that a lot of them have faded over the years. If I got Photoshop, could I satisfactorily correct the below picture, for instance? A friend of mine actually bought a Mac for the sole reason that she wanted to scan all her old photographs for her now grown children.

So, we have this upcoming wedding, and old pictures of the bride and groom are needed. So I did my best with the scanner I have. Look what I found, that I didn't even know that I had? This isn't for the photographic quality, which is pretty low, but just for the "oh my gosh I can't believe I snapped that picture". I doubt if these people want to be seen on a public message board, so I'll probably take it off Photobucket in a couple of days. For those that get an X, it is just a family photo from Liberty Island, and the WTC squarely in the middle. I don't even exactly remember this scene, much less snapping the picture.

2. Those are great, Jump.
What kind did you get? Are these scanned off prints or slides. I'd still love to scan some of my dad's thousands of slides that are in my possession, but I've never settled on what type of scanner to get.

4. first slide scanned a 25-year old
i picked it because of the dust and crud on it... the scanner actually made it better than it is, but I am going to play with settings and dust removal more
