my youngest daughter totaled our car (nobody hurt, thank God), so we purchased another (more fuel efficient this time) and helped daughter buy one for herself (the insurance totaled it out for $5,000 over what we owed on it, so that helped).
My oldest daughter and her husband have both secured residencies at Johns Hopkins and Georgetown (respectively) so they are doing fine, and I will still have a place to land on the East Coast when the historical spirit moves me. :D
My wife is healthy and happy, exercising a bunch, and her weight is coming down to her ideal (which relieves me, because hip and knee ruination runs in her family, and I want her to have a long, active, enjoyable life).
I,on the other hand, am ready to claw my eyeballs out over the reading list I'm trying to get to...no time for photography, so I have spent some time going through the files, working up shots I haven't yet posted (some a few years old).
Sorry to hear about your camera troubles, but it will be great to see you posting your work again. i always enjoy it, and have tried to draw some lessons from framing, and lighting from it.
I'm glad to hear that your spirits are rising. :)
Actually, I gave my post the grandiose title of "Timisoara cold" 'cause the shots were taken in Romania a couple of years ago. Here's the link; I would be interested in your critiques.
