A day at the Tellus Science Museum, Cartersville, GA
Took my grandkids and their great uncle to see the science museum in Cartersville, GA today.

Nice place, they had some cool exhibits.

Like a moron, in the scramble to get the kids ready and in the truck I forgot the battery for my DSLR was in the charger so these shots are all with my pocket cam, a Lumix FX07.

More later in another post, gotta eat dinner.

1. What's that last thing?
Needless to say, I like the jaw/teeth thing with the kids in front of it. That made me laugh.

I love it when museums allow photography!

2. The first ever automobile..
Karl Benz in 1885/86.

My camera is small enough and I've learned to treat it like I'm looking at a cell phone, I rarely get busted taking pictures any more. The museum did allow photography but I can usually get away with it even places they don't.

Some more pics..

3. I love the reflected portrait
Great shot.

I also like the "grainy" ones. Which is not to say I don't like them all. Looks like a good time ws had by all.

4. One of our relatives looked at that pic and remarked that it looked like..
My granddaughter was the "soul" of me, we are kind of alike, both born troublemakers and askers of difficult questions.

If you look closely you'll see the batteryless DSLR with the strap around my neck and the "space" tee shirt I got at the Arecibo radio telescope in Puerto Rico with planets and nebulae on it.

It really was a special day, we did all enjoy ourselves a lot.

6. Bang a Gong, baby..
Thanks for the compliment, the lighting was very well done in the museum, made taking great shots ridiculously easy.

It's funny how I found out about the museum in the first place, I was at my grandson's preschool Christmas event and saw a guy wearing a tee shirt with the name on it and I asked him about it, turns out the guy had worked on the construction (the museum just opened about a month ago).
