1. There is a big market for buying and selling used equipment.

KEH.com is a well rated site, as is FredMiranda.com .
Then there is always Craigeslist.com and ebay.com .

My geographical location taken into account I have had little chance of finding use for it, so I can't evaluate really. But the consensus seems to be that there is not many problems finding deals and good sellers/buyers there. But don't take my word for it.

3. I use

fredmiranda.com and photography-on-the.net, both are good sources to buy and sell used equipment. Fred Miranda requires a $25+/- subscription to sell, no subscription to buy. Used modern photography equipment seems to retain a higher percentage of new cost than any other area of currently available personal property I am aware of. Often used lenses by Canon or Nikon sell used for only 10% to 20% less than new.
