Thank you for the welcome. I am honored to be a part of this group of great photographers. I don't have any great equipment, I have a very basic setup, but one thing we all have is will. The will to take the shot is what I believe makes photographers great.

Great movie selection by the way. I had to turn the stereo up to 11 to drown out my laughter!

It is simply amazing how close Stonehenge is to 2 major roads. It was with a bit of irony that I named the photo. The rich interior of a modern car versus the rough texture of the ancient stonework.

I guess the question that arises is which is more permanent, the edifice created by the hands of the ancients, or the digital image, taken with modern equipment? I'm sure that if you would have presented that technology to the old ones it would have gotten you either killed as a witch or worshiped as a god... Irony on a number of levels.

That night in Chicago was awesome.

And I too echo the welcomes from above posts.

Post pics whenever you feel compelled. There are some great photographers here and I often feel intimidated, but everyone is gracious and helpful. You couldn't find a nicer group to join.

14. Yeah, that night was awesome and thank you for the welcome.

The surge of feeling when the election polls closed and the win was called for Obama was magical. Being in such a large crowd of like minded people who had such immense love for our country, and the willingness to admit that "Yes we can" make it better.

The shot and video were taken with an extended arm. I wasn't sure if Obama would be visible so I tried to get the screen and the man together.
