As I usually do, I carried a point & shoot on my trip last fall to the Spencer Gorge on the Niagara Escarpment. I posted some of the DSLR shots from that excursion, but hadn't really sifted through the shots from the backup camera. Here are a few I thought were OK.

Do you guys gotta' watch for rattlers when you are hiking around in your region? They have to be watched for around here.

3. The Mississauga Rattler is a scary snake, but on the higher elevations

seldom seen by late fall. I've tried to tell Canadians about water moccasins and copperheads, but I usually get a blank stare. Not only do they have universal health coverage here, they're damned lucky with their snakes too. Yet another reason I'm generally glad to be an expat.
