I finally got all the captions done on my Iditarod galleries.

It took me as long to type the captions as it did for Lance to mush the 1,000 miles from Willow to Nome. :rofl: It's hard work.

2. That's a really stunning achievement (and yes, I fell off the stunning wagon)

but I can't come up with a better descriptive. Just amazing as a set and individually. Some of the dog shots in particular are just pulse quickening. And some of the Nome shots with the mushers & their teams set against the snow with a nice, deep depth of field are just as affecting. Taken together with your Nome about-town series, this is a real documentary of Alaskan culture (and ya'll do know you're nuts up there, right?).
;)

But really, this is just a glorious conjunction of photographer and theme.

I'm glad you liked the photos. I had a lot of fun taking them, and I think next year will be even better. I did tell you all that we're reserved for next year already, didn't I? The Iditarod is really addictive.
