3 Destinations today: Tuzigoot - Jerome - Phoenix botanical gardens and Chihuly

Tuzigoot - on Register - excavated Pueblo of the Sanagua Indians.
No joke about the name, Without Water, they suffered and ultimately in the 1400 packed up and disappeared. Photos are the excavated floor plan and a view from the top




Jerome- entire town I think on Register- old copper mining town at the side of the mountain near Sedona, photos are the Mining Museum



and the Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, sporting an exhibit by world renowned glass blowing artist Chihuly

2. I need another trip to Arizona

Are you going to go to the Four Corners area? I'd love to go there, but it is so remote.

I remember seeing a bunch of abandoned sites in Arizona, and they were all explained by drought, if I remember correctly. But I am not sure that they know for sure.

3. I don't know about the Four Corners area. Will check with my friends who know more.

I have seen more bone dry riverbeds than I want to remember in the last few days as we take these strenuous hikes. But the large rocks and the cairns the people build with the rocks as they hike through there are wonderful.
