2. still the cows for me
I have to say I love the tomatoes, though, and the bird in the first picture is really cool. Is it really that blue?

I hear ya on the loss of objectivity. I feel a big relief to have turned my selection over to my daughter!

3. Yup - it was that blue. I did not mess with the color in that photo
at all, because I just love the tender green.
It's my personal favorite, but so are the others.

:)

8. I think it is my favorite as well
Much as I love the cows. The reason I didn't vote for it was because of Green being the theme. But, I am starting to think I was wrong. It's weird-- I don't much like the same one without the bird. With the bird--WOW!

10. Thanks! It was maybe only the 2nd or third time I ever took a photo of a bird
And it is so much not camouflaged with it's bright color in the soft green.
I took that out of the back of a camper I slept in on a campground near Monument Valley, and I will never ever forget the racket the birds made that morning.

4. Went with 3, after much debate
It's simply beautiful, and though it sings with most of the colors of the spectrum, it's the green that really completes everything else in it. But hell, every one of these is simply fine. I'm really taken with the first one and would have voted for that except the green there is a supporting actor to the blues and golds.

But a wonderful selection of photos, and you should be very proud of each one of them.

5. Love 2 and 3!
I wound up going for 2, but it was really a "flip a coin" kind of choice.

(Once again, if 3 was my entry, I would have titled it "...'til we found the Sea of Green" ;-) . )

6. Tough choice
I narrowed it down to 2 & 3. Both of these stand out for me. They are both 'out of the box' shots. Ended up voting for 3 because of its impressionist feel.

7. My dear Mira!
No. 3 is simply the top, IMHO!

Of course, they are all wonderful, but if it were up to me, I'd enter #3.

Congrats on your superb work!

9. Thanks so much, Caifornia Peggy and all of you. I'm glad I am getting votes
and comments, and I really appreciate that because it is so very helpful. I like it when people come look and also VOTE.
It's nice to have interaction with each other, and of course it makes me very happy you like that shot so much. I just may go with your recommendation and RegnaD's title :)

12. Indecision means no. Your mind is not helping you.
Get in touch with gut feelings. Which one feels right? Forget about our opinions, go with your gut.

I voted for number 1 for its emotional impact.

15. I quoted you to myself and entered the grasshopper because I simply
couldn't believe I had caught that, and I loved it.
How did that work out? Not so much.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood, and I am having so much fun.
Thank you for your vote for my bird, and your very wise words.

16. And where have you been, I almost instant messaged you this afternoon,
just to see if you are well. You should be having lots of "green" with your yard work projects.
Look forward to seeing one or more, and thank you for your vote.
Now I'm leaning toward number one again, after gravitating to 3 for the last hour.

:)

19. I haven't been shooting much lately.
I got busy with school and work, and then picked up a new hobby-fishkeeping. I have a 75 gallon saltwater tank I have started. It takes a good bit of time. I have a green, but it isn't from the gardens or outside. I have also been following along with this forum, still the most sane. :)

Back to your pictures. Number one is like number two(beautiful!) but with a strong focus of attention. I really liked it. The fish are cool, too--looks like a water color, but one is striking.

Here is a picture from my tank(to prove I have been productive)--

20. WOW this could eat up time ! I've had a 50 gal fresh water one, and that was
bad enough. But are they ever beautiful, esp. of course salt water.
(you won at the NC lottery?) Salt water fish cost as much as low end cameras, sometimes.

Glad to hear from you, and I MISS your photos.

21. I got a great deal on the set-up,
and am taking it slow with adding fish. I don't like the big fish in a tank, so none are going be too costly.

I am posting a thread of recent pictures, watch for it.

24. I'll be looking for your photos. I once bought a placostamus the size of my finger nail
in my 50 gal tank, with gorgeous rocks and swim throughs, and plants and fish worth watching; I never saw him again.

2 years or so (I don't know how long really) later, he came out from under something and was about 10 inches long.
I screamed. The nearbys gathered.

I learned you can't kill them, either, they can live quite a while on air without water. It got to be 18" long, a friend, a vet, got it out for me, and I took it in a bucket to a nearby creek.

25. I started innocently enough, a 20 gallon freshwater tank.
This past week, I moved furniture out of my house to make room for the 75 gallon saltwater. I go to the fish store damn near every day. Very addictive!

27. Fish
They're all fantastic but the one that really caught my eye was the fish. The play of colours and reflections just keeps your eyes fixated on the image but never in just one spot. It's, for lack of a better term, captivating.
